Chae Yeon

Chae Yeon, born on December 10, 1978, is a popular Korean pop singer. She is known for her dancing skills, and for her beauty. She has risen to fame with her hit single Just the Two of Us in 2005.

It took Chae Yeon many years to get to her present level of fame in Koreas entertainment industry. In fact, she had to start out in Japan first. She was part of a singing group called Brand New Biscuits, debuted（出道） in Japan on January 1, 2001, where it has 6 members. Brand New Biscuitsincluded also another Korean singer, Yuny Han. Chae Yeon was also member of group UltraCatsunder the name of “Jinny” from 2001 to 2002.

Having passed an audition（试听） held by an entertainment man- agement company in Japan, Chae Yeon first appeared on a popular show called “Uchan Nanchan no Urinari!” on Japanese NTV. She appeared on the show for almost 3 years. Along with the television show, Chae Yeon performed as a singer releasing 3 singles and 1 mini-album in Japan. It was in 2003 that she returned to Korea with her first official album Its My Time under the name Chae Yeon.

Her debut as a singer in Korea stirred up the entertainment world for the provocative（煽动的） scenes included in the music video of her title songDangerous Presenta-tion. However, approaching（接近） the audience with sexy im- age and exciting music was suc- cessful. Chae Yeon continued to appeal to pop music lovers with her sexy appearance and voice in her second official album released in 2005. Catchy（动人的） songs and upbeat rhythms（节奏） of the songJust the Two of Us included in her second album gained great popularity putting the song on top of local music charts.

Jessica Alba

Because Jessica Albas father was in the Air Force, the Alba family did their fair share of moving. Jessica Alba was born in Pomona, California but soon relocated to Biloxi, Mississippi. Later, the Alba family packed their bags for Del Rio, Texas. It wasnt until Jessica Alba was nine that she and her family finally settled in southern California.

Jessica Alba had dreamed of being an actress since she was five, but it wasnt until she was 12 that she took her first acting class. Jessica was a natural and landed an agent only nine months after that first class. In 1993, Jessica Alba got a part in the movie Camp Nowhere. A part that was supposed to last two weeks suddenly evolved（发展成） into a two-month gig when a main actress in the movie had to drop out. From that movie, Jessica started landing big commercial spots and eventually a recurring role on the family show, Flipper!

Jessica Albas biggest TV role was in the Sci-Fi（科幻） TV hit, Dark Angel, created and produced by oscar-winning director James Cameron. Jessica played Max, a genetically（基因地） upgraded chick with a barcode tattoo and super-human abilities. The show became a big hit in its first season, but tanked in its second season, leaving Jessica Alba and her then-finace, MichaelWeatherly,unemployed.

Since her departure from the small screen, Jessica Alba has been heating things up on the silver screen. She began making waves when she starred in the dance movie, Honey, in 2003. This year, Jessica is taking the movie scene by storm once again. Early in 2005 she had a major role in the movie Sin City, in July 2005 she became a member of The Fantastic Four and on September 30, 2005, Jessica Alba and Paul Walker go in search of sunken treasure in Into the Blue.
