尽管基地距离火车铁轨比较近，为设计带来一定的困难，但是在火车站附近选址是具有战略意义的。我们设计了两个方案：第一个是弧形的，覆以深绿色的玻璃；第二个是简洁的10层建筑，面向广场，表皮采用石灰石板。第二个设计方案最终被采用。由于所有的室内空间都是木制装修，温暖的阳光会透过玻璃板照射进来。在建筑的转角处，则呈现出两个高而锐利的尖角——一个高而白，另一个则低而黑，与透明的电梯井连接。黑色建筑物在内部庭院的左边，正面朝向火车铁轨，这样也可以避免危险。这也是没有任何房间面对着铁轨方向的原因。□（张晓黎 译）

The site close by the railway station is strategic,though complicated by the closeness to the tracks. We have designed two proposals for the site: One curved,covered in bot t le-green glass and a second,straightforward 10-storey limestone slab with a facade leaning towards the square. This later design is now approaching construction. As all interiors are wooden clad, a warm light radiates through the glass panels.Round the corner, two high, sharp edges appear－one high, white, and one lower, black open to the transparent elevator shafts. The black building on the left of the inner yard is the face towards the railway tracks. It is also a guard against dangers; that is why no rooms face in the railway direction.□
