“Consolidation”is the Theme in 2015

Being always in change is the permanent theme of the world. A drama of “consolidation” of stateowned enterprises in this year has promoted the movement of “creating god” by the whole nation. The story starts from the birth of “divine car”.

On the eve of 2015, CSR and CNR officially announced the initiation of consolidation, officially named "CRRC"。These two enterprises immediately became the star of capital market, with share prices raising up to 400%, total value of these two enterprises exceeding 400 billion RBM,CRRC became the "divine car" of China.

The success of Chinese divine car opened the Pandora's box of consolidation of Chinese state-owned enterprise.Chinese investors with rich imagination began matching more enterprises. CNPC and Sinopec, China Unicom and China Mobile, CR and CRC are on the list of imagination.On Mar. 25th, CNAC and CSIC exchanged senior leaders,which caused rumor of consolidation. The capital market caught up immediately. On 26th, CSSC and CSIC issued public notice respectively against the background of consolidation guess, CNAC and CSIC and other listed companies were almost blocked on the raising limit.“Chinese Divine Ship” is ready to come into being.

At the same time, the four big state-owned shipping enterprises with close relations, China SOSC, CSCL,SINO and China Merchants Group are also included in the consolidation imagination under the background of reform of State-owned enterprises. On Aug. 7th, a piece of breaking news shocked the market. Many listed companies of "China Shipping series" and "COSCO series" were suspended. It was said that China Shipping and COSCO have established"reform leading group", and the news of consolidation of the two shipping tycoons is immediately known. The word of "Chinese divine transportation" came true in real life,and articles containing various guesses hit the headlines. On Nov.14th, SINOTRANS CSC announced it was considering consolidation with China Merchants Group.

On Aug. 4th, NINGBO PORT was suspended suddenly on the daily trading limit, the guess that Zhoushan port will be merged into Ningbo port started the process of consolidation of Chinese ports. In fact, consolidation of regional port integration led by local governments is going on intensely. On Aug. 21st, Zhejiang Seaport Invesment and Operation Group was established. Based on this platform,Ningbo port, Zhoushan port, Jiaxing port, Taizhou port and Wenzhou port will be integrated. At the same time,northeast ports will also be integrated. In the future, the government may integrate Dalian port, Yingkou port,Jinzhou port and Dandong port to facilitate management and coordinated development.

By now, divine car, divine ship, divine transportation and divine port have all made the public show, with some having settled down, some being still on the way, and some being uncertain. No matter what, the door of consolidation of Chinese state-owned enterprises is wide open.
