FROM May 7 to 12, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid state visits to Russia, Ka- zakhstan, and Belarus. During his stay in Russia, he attended the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow. Together with all peace-loving people around the world, President Xi and other attendees at Russias Victory Day parade commemorated the 70th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascist war, signaling Chinas resolve in upholding the outcome of WWII, safeguarding the hard-fought peace, and maintaining international justice.

In Kazakhstan, Xi was invited by his Kazakh counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev, for a one-to-one tea talk.

In Belarus, Xi was accompanied by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on all his scheduled activities.

President Xis three-country trip further promoted mutual political trust and practical cooperation between China and the three countries, and accelerated the integration of Chinas Belt and Road Initiatives with those countries development strategies. During Xis Eurasia tour, China and the three countries signed nearly 90 cooperation documents and accords in such fields as trade and economy, energy, aerospace, finance, investment, and infrastructure.

The fruitful results have embodied Chinas sincerity and determination to jointly build the Silk Road Economic Belt with the three countries. Their pragmatic cooperation will contribute to the more efficient allocation of economic elements and resources and deepening integration of the regional market, and keep injecting fresh vitality into the development of the Eurasian continent.endprint
