In 2018, there will be a famous event taking place in Russia——The World Cup. All football fans are crazy about it. Unfortunately, there is not China again, although China did its best in the previous games, it still failed to survive.

The foundation of a countrys football is its training system. The more attention you pay to it, the better skill you will get. At the beginning of the 21st century, the Germany football faced a big challenge, as most players became older and lack of new players to take their places, they lost the 1/16 games in the 2000 European Cup. This gives a warn to the managers of Germany football, and start to put attention on fostering their young football players. They limited the number of foreign players and encouraged football clubs to use the native players, including the world-famous club Bayern Muncher. This effort took a great change to them, as German got the 2nd place in the 2008 European Cup, then the 3rd place in the 2014 World Cup, and finally became the champion of 2014 Brazil World Cup.

Strong as Germany football is still need to improve their training system to avoid going downhills, not to mention Chinese football. In my view, the inaction of Chinese football may due to two reasons. First, the lack of professional equipment, such as a world-class field for young players to practice. Second, in China, most parents still have a negative view on football. They may think football is a backup for children who failed in the exam, and believe it is not a mainstream to be a football player rather than a public functionary. Moreover, there is lack of policy on protecting the basic life of a football player, people may be afraid that they will live in a poor life if they dont succeed in being a football player.

To be honest, many officers have already realized the importance of young players developments. So, the CSL (China Super Soccer League) put forward a new policy last year, called ‘The policy of U23. It rules that there must be at least one player younger than 23 on the starting line. To some degree, it helps many young and talent players to gain more chance, like Wen Shilao, Liu Yiming, Hu Jinghang and so on. But some problems also arise, that many U23 players were often substituted after only 10 or 20 minutes arouses many critics. Many people thought that there is no use to do so. And it also has a side effect, because of this, a lot of clubs want to pay a lot for a U23 player, so that many players who was training or playing in foreign countries often choose to go back to get more money, as the country is not fit for them to develop.

In my opinion, such measures I mentioned should be taken by China, but the most important thing is that it cannot just be a ‘vanity project. Instead, it should be taken deeper and deeper. Also, the root of many problems is from most peoples minds. How to change our minds about football is also a vital task.

However, the economic basis is the key factor which determines the football level. A few years ago, the CSL only had a few foreign players, which were not famous at all, but now, as many clubs are willing to spend much more money on high level players, more and more famous players came to the CSL, including Hulk, Oscar, Paulinho and so on. Many companies like Hengda, Quanjian, Suning provide strong supports to the clubs. However, as the CSL become more and more popular, we should keep in mind that most clubs income is still much lower than their outcomes. So what do they depend on?Their companies behind them?I think it isnt the best mode. Well, it can helps to build up a super team in a short time, but how could the club survive when its company breaks down or dont wanna support it anymore.

In fact, the related department is trying to offer more money to support the development of football, but it doesnt work. Indeed, we are still suffering from being lacking in standard football fields. We can still never see any in many cities, or playing in such fields is so expensive that few of us can afford it. Some even close to the public, and are only used in certain events.

You may argue that early excellent football players in Brazil developed their fantasy skills on muddy fields with many holes and grass, but its just a special example. Nowadays, many players are trained in modern stadium, use modern exercise equipment, and get recovered with modern treatment.
