Fu-eled by appreciation of theRMB, sectors like finance and real estateas well newly revitalized areas like non-ferrous metals, the steel and chemicalindustries, drove market growth, creat-ing many millionaires in the process.In terms of pure performance, all of the13 sectors classified by the CSRC hadstrong performance with growth rateswell over 100 percent since 2007. Thetop three sectors were: indices for themining industry +345.56 percent, indicesfor the petrochemical industry +200.59percent indices for the metal industry+190.33 percent. Real estate, wholesaleand retail markets were also among thebest performers.
