“All states should learn lessons from the current refugee crisis and respect the principles of sovereignty and independence of other states to avoid the violation of human rights that has occurred in refugees' home countries.”

Chinese representative Ren Yisheng made this statement during the general debate of the 30th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council, and reaffirmed China's strong commitment to the UN Charter and the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence.

Ren also voiced China's hope that the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights would provide sufficient resources for implementation of the right to development.

“In recent years, collaboration in the area of renewable energy has gradually become an important part of the China-Barbados practical cooperation. Besides the equipment we hand over today, the Chinese side will also set up solar power units for the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium in 2016,to optimize its power consumption structure and cut down its electricity costs.

China will continue to cooperate with developing countries, including Barbados,in addressing climate change through sharing experiences and technologies, supporting capacity building, and providing equipment. I believe that bilateral cooperation in this specific area will bring more opportunities and bear more fruits.”

Chinese Ambassador to Barbados Wang Ke made this speech at the Hand-over Ceremony for the Provision of Goods for Addressing Climate Change, during which a total 25,000 LED tubes and 1,000 air conditioning units were handed over to the Barbadian side.
