Influence of America-Russia"New Cold War"on China and Its Countermeasures

Abstract:To forecast the developmental trend of America-Russia“New Cold War”after 2015,it's needed firstly to define such concepts as“Cold War”,“New Cold War”and“uncertainty”.To reason the short-term trend and longterm progression of America-Russia“New Cold War”, it's necessary to conduct an in-depth analysis on“certainty”,“uncertainty”and other related factors.With a comprehensive observation of adverse and favorable influences ofAmerica-Russia“NewColdWar”onChina,it'snotdifficulttodrawaconclusion that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.Learning lessons from the experiences of America-Russia“New Cold War”will be helpful to formulate countermeasures by Chinese government.

ASEAN's East Asian Cooperation Policy after Cold War:Progress、Reason and Limitation

Abstract:The essential aim of recent ASEAN's diplomacy is to strengthenregional cooperation mechanism in the domains of economy and political security.The process is from imagination to reality,not without some progress as well as frustration.Because of such factors as the lack of core power and the weakening of regionalism,there is not enough motivity to further enhance stability and destiny of the regional cooperation with its aim of building East Asia Community. This paper reworks the ASEAN's East Asian cooperation policy after the Cold War, and tries to rethink about the next developmental strategy.

Explicating Pacific Islands Forum to Restore Fiji's Membership

Abstract:Pacific Islands Forum,an important regional organization in South Pacific Region, plays an important role in boosting regional integration and promoting the economy of island countries.Fiji has an important influence in the region,but because of its domestic political instability,Pacific Islands Forum has successively terminated and restored its membership.This article uses the ternary interaction model to explain this and comes to the conclusion that the interaction between international politics,domestic politics and regional politics has contributed to the change.Furthermore, this article offers the reflective viewpoints that international politics research can't be divorced from domesticpolitics,that regional politics can't be ignored at all time and that international politics research can be conducted beyond the conventional paradigms.

American World Order:How the Lost Powers Select Their National Strategy

Abstract:Against the great change of international system in 1991 differentiating the winning states and the failed,this article attempts to provide an analysis of the framework to explain the strategies of the failed states,and advances the three variables such as Relative Power,Relative Security and Relative Ideology.Because of the preeminent advantages of hegemonic America,other states have limited room to counteract.Therefore,many of them have adopted bandwagoning strategy.At the same time,ideology reflexivity and nuclear weapons also decrease the motive of balancing strategy.Only when the security of states is threatened, will they resort to balancing strategy as a consequence.

Four-dimensional Analysis on the Attributes of the Sino-Vietnam Relations

Abstract:The Sino-Vietnam relation plays a crucial role in the Chinese peripheral diplomacy,especially in Southeast Asia.The study of the Sino-Vietnam relation can be conducted from four different dimensions.Historically,there is a long time of exchange between the two countries.Geopolitically,as neighboring countries,China and Vietnam have long been competing for regional advantages.Ideologically,as socialist countries,China and Vietnam share similar political identity.In terms of development,the relationship between China and Vietnam is featured by cooperation.Through above analysis,it is believed that although therehavebeensomecrashes,themainstreamofmutualcooperation,communication and friendship has always taken an upper hand and been dominant in the course of development.
