关联理论在电影片名翻译中的应用：对电影《西游记之大圣归来》和The Bridges of Medison County译名的分析

【摘要】本文从关联理论的角度来评价电影片名翻译的效果。关联理论属于语用学领域，最初用来解释言语交际行为。之后在关联理论的基础上提出了关联翻译理论。翻译作为一种跨文化交际活动，涉及到语码转换以及文化转换。译文读者对译文的理解是一种寻找关联性的行为，将已有的认知模式放到新的环境中，在译文与自身对译文的多种认知假设之间寻找最佳关联性。

【Abstract】This article is intended to discuss translation effect of film title in the perspective of Relevence Theory. Relevance Theory in Pragmatics is used to explain verbal communication behaviour. And the Relevance Theory of Translation based on it comes out. As an transcultural communication behaviour，translation is in relation to code transformation and cultural transformation. Comprehension of translated version is an act of relevance seek，which means the optimal relevance is built up between translated version and many cognitive hypotheses of target reader on the base of existing cognitive mode in the new environment.

一、引言

关联理论（Relevance Theory）是由Dan Sperber和Deirdre Wilson 在1986年他们出版的《关联： 交际与认知》一书中正式提出。他们认为所有的格莱斯准则，包括合作原则，都应该简化为一条关联原则，即每一个明示交际行为其本身都具有最佳关联性。关联理论的核心是明示-推理过程，发话者通过书面或口头形式作出明示行为，听者根据这些明示行为，结合认知语境进行推理，推理出具有最佳语境效果的认知结果。之后，他们的学生Gutt根据关联理论针对翻译领域进行研究，并提出了关联翻译理论。

二、关联理论与关联翻译理论

翻译领域一些比较有名的理论，如Nida的功能对等理论，弗米尔的翻译目的论，Node的功能翻译论等，它们强调的是翻译过程中的某个或某几个因素。

Nida的动态对等理论，即功能对等理论。Nida从语言学的角度出发，设立了一个标准来衡量源语和目的语之间的转换效果。……
