"'Your sister!'" said Buster.

Arthur fell down laughing.

“Not funny,” said D.W.

“Is—hic—too,” said Arthur.

“Well, I did my best,” said Buster.

“So long and good luck.”

“We came to cure you,” said Muffy.

“Follow us.”

“The key is to lick it while hanging upside down,”

said Francine.

“It‛s an old family cure,” said Muffy. “Works

every time.”

Arthur hung from the swing for a long time.

Muffy looked at her watch.

“Just one more minute,” she said.

“Keep licking,” said Francine.

No one said a word.

“I think they‛re gone!” whispered D.W.

“Hic!” said Arthur, louder than ever.

“治打嗝儿的最好办法就是倒挂起来吃棒棒糖。”芳馨说。

玛菲也说：“这是一个老偏方，特别灵。”

亚瑟倒挂在秋千上，挂了很长时间。

玛菲看了看手表说：“再挂一分钟。”

He hiccuped while he brushed his teeth.

“You can‛t—hic—help

me,” Arthur said.

“No one can.”

亚瑟回答，“谁都帮不上忙。”

“Hey!” said Arthur. “They‛re gone! You

scared my hiccups away. Thanks, D.W. ”

朵拉止不住地笑啊，笑啊。

“嘿！”亚瑟说，“我不打嗝儿了！

你把我的嗝儿吓跑了！谢谢你，朵拉！”

But D.W. was laughing so hard,

all she could say was “You‛re—hic—welcome!”

可是朵拉笑得太厉害了，她好容易才回答了一句：

“别—嗝儿—客气！”
