当阿比盖尔·麦克在TikTok上发布一段朗读其大学入学申请论文的视频时,她从没想过点击量会超过1,700万,她的论文也让她被哈佛大学录取。

When Abigail Mack posted a video to TikTok reading her college admission essay, she never imagined it would get over 17 million views and her personal essay helped earn her a spot in Harvards class of 2025.

One day she was sitting in an English class and thought of parent vs parents. She wondered why “parents” is really common in the language she used while “parent” is not. Thats when she thought she hates the letter “S”.

In the TikTok video, she reads that she used to have two parents but then she had one. “The ‘S in parents isnt going anywhere. ‘S follows me,” she read.

Abigails mom, Julie, died of cancer in 2014. Julie was a dance teacher and had opened a new studio “Julies Studio of Dance” in West Bridgewater with her husband Jonathan shortly before she passed away. Jonathan continues to operate the studio, where Abigail is a teacher on the weekends.

“Julie just had this personality that attracts the kids and the families, and Abigail has that too. So Im really glad that she is much like Julie in the best possible ways,” said Jonathan Mack.

“In addition to being extraordinarily bright, extraordinarily well?spoken, shes also fun. Shes bubbly, shes funny, shes an amazing artist,” said Daniel Hodes, President of Cardinal Spellman High School.

“Im so happy that Im going to Harvard and I am proud that I was able to achieve a dream,” said Abigail.
