陈东华及合伙人事务所创始人陈东华《开放场域》引述德勒兹的观点“身份是差异的影响”并指出，要用系列的实践从不同层面回应对地域性的理解，需要从不同层面进行一系列的实践。其中一个例子就是位于海丰的体育馆利用开放空间、过度秩序、模糊性的处理手法形成层级过渡的开放场域，在空间形式上充分回应了亚热带气候。此外，广州茶铺改造借助屋顶花园进行自然渗透来打破经典现代主义范式的框架，而南沙厂房改造则通过在大空间中置入变形网格形成“村落状”结构的场域，以抵抗原有的完形。以上所有的项目都是对基于空间形式之间的关系，而非具体建筑样式对岭南文化的回应。

All projects above echo the relationship between spatial forms rather than respond to specific architectural styles in the culture of Lingnan.
