Seminar Gets Insight into Cobb Global Growth

Following Cobb’s successful exhibit at the recent VIV Asia show in Thailand where the Cobb 500 holds more than a 55%market share,a seminar was held in China for more than 50 of the country’s largest integrated chicken producers.The two-day seminar in Zhuhai was organised and hosted by Beijing Poultry Breeding Company(BPBC),Cobb’s distributor in China,with invited speakers from key government departments and industry professionals.

Cobb supported the seminar with four keynote speakers,headed by president Jerry Moye,who explained how Cobb was expanding to supply an increasing share of the global market,with Asia the fastest growing region for the company.

Dr.Mitch Abrahamsen,vice president of research and development,described the new investment in people and technology and also outlined Cobb’s extensive investment in what was one of the largest commercial genomics programs in the world.

Cobb Asia general manager,Duncan Granshaw,talked about the use of new and old technology in the poultry industry,emphasising that Cobb products perform very well in traditional facilities but how simple technology can improve management and performance in all facilities,including the most modern.

Charles Calvert,regional sales and technical manager,described how Cobb helped producers to get the optimum performance through the company’s highly regarded technical team working in Asia.Strategically placed throughout the region,the team was always close by for support as well as being able to draw on the extensive specialist World Technical Support Team.
