Should not lose the original heart

【Abstract】This is a real story about Yingcai， who struggle in the exam and get a new life through hard work， remembering that the original heart should not be lost for ever.

It was a severe winter， no matter how thick you wear， you can’t resist the sharp wind. However， Yingcai did not feel cold at all， even though he was wearing only the thin school uniform and his face was extremely red blown by the biting wind. Because he has made a remarkable achievement， ranking first in the whole grade. He is still on his way to school， and he had already imagined how the teacher would praise him， being very excited.

As soon as he stepped into the teaching building， he heard the loud sound of reading clearly. At the moment， it seemed that Yingcai suddenly thought of something important. His originally brisk pace became a little heavy. He felt that the dim corridor had become longer all of a sudden， and the light at the other end of the corridor was very far away from him. It was not the true light， but the halo that made him lost himself.

Then， he couldn’t help thinking of what happened a few months ago.

His original academic performance was better than his classmates. However， after entering junior three， his academic performance continued to decline gradually. He obviously felt that the teacher no longer paid attention to him， and his classmates began to ignore him gradually. He has always been haughty， therefore， he was not satisfied because of the decline in his academic record. What’s worse， when his parents saw his report card which did not meet their high expectations again， they severely reprimanded him： “You do not match this name！” Finally， there was no chagrin on his face， but a quirky sneer swept his mouth.

Another exam was coming soon. Before the examination， Yingcai delayed for a while before taking the scratch paper and writing pen and hesitantly entered the examination room. After he got the test paper， he began to answer the question. Everything seemed to be normal， but Yingcai seemed to be very upset. Although there was some distance， it seemed that everyone could hear his frightening heartbeat clearly. His pen-holding hand trembled slightly. He glanced at the invigilator from time to time. Even turning over the examination paper， he was very timid and extremely unnatural. This is not like him！ This is not him at all！

The invigilator closed his eyes and took a nap when half of the examination time passed. At this moment， Yingcai suddenly took out the scratch paper which had been pressed under the examination paper， while the dense small characters on it explained everything. He was full of passion， his hands stopped shaking and he began to write quickly and freely on the test paper. However， the black and small characters that makes people feel numb is like terrible black worms gnawing at his heart bit by bit， a great number of worms was crawling， tearing and biting his heart. When the scratch paper was pressed under the examination paper again， his heart had already festered.

However， the fact was that his test scores were unexpected high； it was amazing how quickly his results have picked up， like riding a rocket. His “examination techniques” were becoming more and more sophisticated， which is all due to his painstaking research for a period of time and the spirit of persistence.

There has been a huge change of opinion about him. Through this exam， he has received extremely high praise again， and teachers have paid more attention to him and looked at him with encouragement and hope. He talked about his learning experience to his classmates in a high-sounding way and enjoyed their admired and jealous eyes. He has become real “Yingcai” again in the eyes of his parents， as for Yingcai who is just 16 years old， these seem to be all the most valuable things in his life.

His pace was no longer heavy， and he passed through the dim corridor. The cold wind blew with the last sentence of the text， “This means losing one’s original heart”. He seemed to feel a little cold， so he sped up to walk to the light at the other side confirmedly.
