衔接理论在TEM—4听写中的应用

摘 要：在大学英语专业四级考试中，听写占听力总分的50%，因此分值相对较大。此外，在听写结束后的两分钟检查时间，考生只是着眼于点，检查单词是否拼写错误，而未能从听写材料的整体特征出发进行全面的检查对错，因而未能有效地检查出错误，提高纠错效率。衔接理论有助于考生们从语篇的整体性角度出发对听写进行纠错，从而提高考生的听写成绩。听写是一个复杂的信息处理过程。在听写录音结束后，考生还有两分钟的检查纠错的时间。因此，除了在听写过程中可以应用衔接理论之外，在检查阶段，考生也可以运用衔接理论来对听写进行纠错改正，从而降低错误率提高考生的听写成绩。

一、衔接理论

衔接理论是由Halliday首次提出，并将衔接手段划分为两大类，即语法类和词汇类。语法类包括指称（reference）、替代（substitution）、省略（ellipsis）、连接（conjunction）。词汇类包括重述和搭配，其中，重述包括重复（repetition）、同义词（synonym）或近义词（near synonym）、上下义关系（hyponymy）、广义词（general）等。

二、听力真题实例分析

为了能够更好的展示衔接理论在英语专业四级听写中的应用，因此本文将用衔接理论分析1996年的大学英语专业四级听写真题。

The Indian Medicine Man（1996）
