“很多”你还在用many？

一提到“很多”“许多”，你会想到哪些表达呢？是不是只想到a lot of，many？首先来看看大家熟悉的几个词。

1.A lot of/Lots of

这两个短语后面可以接可数和不可数名词。如：a lot of water很多水；a lot of things很多事情。

2.Many

Many后面接可数名词。如：many students很多学生；many colors很多颜色。

除了最常见的这两种表达外，这里重点推荐其他几种关于“很多”的实用表达。

3.Numerous/'numərəs/adj.很多；许多

I found numerous documents piled up on the desk.

我发现桌上堆积了很多文件。

4.Countless/'kaʊntləs/adj.很多的；多得数不清的

Sarah has countless parking tickets to deal with.

萨拉有很多的停车罚单要处理。

5.A number of许多；若干

Police say anumber of others were wounded in the attack.

警方表示，另有许多人在袭击中受伤。

6.A great number of许多；很多

A great number of snakes have gone missing.

大量的蛇已经失踪了。

7.A staggering number of大量的；很多

A staggering number of animals were wiped out during the disaster.（Staggering /'stæɡəriŋ/adj.惊人的；非常）

这次灾难中大批动物都灭绝了。

另外，还有很多表达如a sea of, thousands of等等都可以使用。
