民国时期国家图书馆编纂的几部联合目录研究

摘 要 中华图书馆协会成立后，关于编制联合目录的提案从未中断。民国时期国家图书馆曾编有多部联合目录，西文文献的联合目录几乎涵盖了北平所有的图书馆； 中国经籍的联合目录囿于语言和专业，有专科目录的倾向。1931年，四卷本《北平各图书馆所藏西文书联合目录》出版，影响较大。其后，西文期刊联合目录补编工作持续进行，国立北平图书馆还酝酿出版全国性的联合目录，后因抗战爆发而未能完成。

Abstract After the establishment of the Library Association of China， the proposal of compiling union catalogues never stopped. In fact， the National Library of Peiping in the Republic Period compiled several union catalogues. The union catalogues of books in European languages are comprised of nearly all of Peipings libraries， while the lists of Chinese ancient books were similar to the subject bibliographies because of the limitation of languages and subjects. The four volumes of Union Catalogue of Books in European Languages in Peiping Libraries was published in 1931， which had a great influence. Afterwards， the National Library of Peiping has been engaged in the compilation of the union catalogues of books in European languages， and had the intention to publish a national bibliography. But the effort had been interrupted by the Anti-Japanese war.

编制联合目录是20世纪初图书馆编目领域的一大趋势，美国国会图书馆从1901年开始制作卡片式联合目录，英国、德国也相继开始编制联合目录，中国第一个联合目录出现在1927年，由国家图书馆的前身之一——北平北海图书馆编辑完成，随后北平北海图书馆与原京师图书馆合组成立国立北平图书馆，编制联合目录的事业仍继续进行，先后编纂完成多部联合目录，在民国图书馆界产生很大反响。然而，目前还没有专门文章记述这几部联合目录的编纂情况和价值，有个别文章偶有提及，或语焉不详，或存在谬误，国家图书馆幸而藏有原书，本文希望借此将这几部尘封的联合目录揭示出来，再现民国时期图书馆编目领域的成就。

1 编制联合目录的倡议

编制联合目录最大的好处是可以促进馆际间文献资源的互借，使“藏”在各个图书馆中的书刊物尽其用，同时可以引导文献采购政策，避免不必要的投入和重复劳动。……
