德国“席明纳”教学模式的探索

摘 要：文章探讨了起源于德国并风靡欧美国家的“席明纳”教学模式。“席明纳”模式适合小班教学，注重师生互动和调动学生自主学习能力。笔者根据自己在德国留学的亲身经历，介绍席明纳教学模式在高等院校和成人教育的实践。在文章的后半部分，探讨了席明纳这种教学模式在中国大学课堂上应用并推广的可行性。

Abstract： This paper focuses on the Seminar teaching model， which is originated in Germany and widespread in the Western world. This model is effective in enhancing the interaction between teachers and students， and in encouraging the students to learn by themselves. The author introduces the implementation of Seminar in the universities and Volkshochschule in Germany， according to his own experience and observation. In the second half of the paper， the author discusses the possibility and feasibility of implementing the seminar model into the classes of Chinese universities.

一、什么叫“席明纳”

“席明纳”是起源于德国并在欧美国家普遍应用的、注重师生互动和学生主动学习的一种教学模式，可以追溯到16世纪。德语的Seminar，英语同，源于拉丁语seminare，意思是“播种”，一说来自拉丁语seminarium，意思是“苗圃”。[1，2]“席明纳”的译法由中国著名学者费孝通先生确定，“席”，大家围坐一团讨论问题，“明”，把问题讲明白、听明白、弄明白，“纳”，大家都从讨论中有所收获。[3]也有学者将其译成“研讨课”、“读书班”等。席明纳的教学模式，起源于德国，因其具有很有效的教学效果，所以很快在整个欧美国家的高等教育中都普及了开来。

二、“席明纳”在德国大学中的应用

在德国的科学实践中，“席明纳”可以出现在四种语境中：1. 中小学和大学教育的一种授课方式；2. 历史上为了培养教师和牧师的一套制度；3. 指代研究某一领域的研究所；4. 为同行提供展示和交流的科研或学术会议。

由于本文的主旨是讨论作为一种教学模式的“席明纳”，所以我们在这里只能对其它三种“席明纳”的形式略作说明。……
