Abstract：Product service systems are widely used in the field of sustainable design，and users occupy an important position in the product service system. This paper aims to clarify the principles and methods of product sustainable design from the user's perspective.Through the research and analysis of the status quo and connotation of sustainable design，in addition to product-centered low-carbon design and multi-dimensional evaluation research，the transition to a“social innovation design”stage focusing on people and behaviors is gradually begun. On this basis，the paper proposes the sustainable design principles of products with constrained interaction，feedback to users and environmentally friendly awareness，and proposes corresponding sustainable design methods.
