Scene I: We are Fuwa

Storyteller: Look, five lovely little friends—Fuwa are coming. They are Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying and Nini. Singing and dancing, they look forward to (期盼) the Olympics and welcome all friends in the world to Beijing.

All kids: Lets welcome our Olympic Fuwa.

Huanhuan: Hi， everybody, my name is Huanhuan. I am the eldest brother of Fuwa and I am the Olympic flame boy （火娃）. I have two younger brothers and two younger sisters. Five of us are all good athletes （运动员） and we are all full of passion of action (运动的激情). We all support the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. We will do our best to carry a message of friendship (友谊), peace (和平), the Olympic spirit （精神） and blessings (祝福) from China, to children all over the world (世界各地). Lets do it, sisters and brothers.

Storyteller: They all come, sing and dance happily.

Huanhuan: The five of us come from different places. The rivers, seas, plains (平原), hills, mountains and sky represent （代表, 描绘） every part of our vast（辽阔的） country. This is our younger brother Beibei who is pure (纯洁的) and lovely. He is happy to live in the lakes, rivers and oceans.

Beibei: Yes, the design on my head is fish and water. The symbols (标志) represent prosperity and harvest （繁荣和收获）. I wish that everybodys dreams come true.

Huanhuan: Beibei, which sports are you going to compete in (在……方面竞争、比赛)?

Beibei: I am living in the water. The rivers, the seas and the lakes are all my home. I will compete in the water sports.

Huanhuan: Jingjing, its your turn now. You are the national treasure （国宝）. All the people in the world adore （崇拜；敬慕） and love you.

Jingjing: Thank you!I come from a lush （广袤的） forest. My hometown (故乡) is Sichuan. All the people in Sichuan are proud of me. They support the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. I wish the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games a big success.

Huanhuan: Jingjing is simple and honest（憨厚的）, happy and full of strength (充满力量). He is a born athlete (天生的运动员).

Jingjing: I like climbing, wrestling （摔跤）, riding bicycle and playing soccer, so I will compete in all of them.

Yingying: My name is Yingying. I am a Tibetan Antelope（藏羚羊) and I come from Western China where there is a vast grass land.

Huanhuan: Yingying is a quick-witted and agile（机敏的） boy. He is the number one runner, nobody can catch him.

Yingying: Running is my best sport, so I decide to join in the track and field (田径赛).

Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan and Yingying: This is our youngest sister Nini!

Beibei: She is a free flying swallow（燕子） who comes from the sky.

Nini: The sky is my home.

Flying in the blue sky is what I

like to do best. Flying trains me

to be more agile. I like gym very

much, so I will join the gym.

Sisters and brothers, lets dance

and fly in the sky!

Storyteller: Huanhuan plays the piano and the others dance. They are all very happy.

Nini: Oh, by the way (顺便问一下), Huanhuan, which games will you join in?

Beibei, Jingjing, Yingying: Right, please tell us!

Huanhuan: I am very active, open (开放的) and good at different ball sports. I will play basketball!Five of us Fuwa are the official (官方 的) mascots （吉祥物） of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Like the Five Olympic Rings (奥运五环) from which they draw their color and inspiration (灵感), I amthe symbolic (象征) of the Olympic Flame (奥运圣火) and I represent the red ring of the Five Olympic Rings.

Beibei: I symbolize （代表） the blue ring of the Five Olympic Rings.

Jingjing: I symbolize the black ring of the Five Olympic Rings.

Yingying: I represent the yellow ring of the Five Olympic Rings.

Nini: Its me, the little swallow. I symbolize the green ring of the Five Olympic Rings.

Scene II: Blessings (祝福) From Fuwa

Huanhuan: When you put our names together—Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni—it means “Welcome to

Beijing”. It offers a warm invitation （热情的邀请） that reflects (反映) the mission (任务,使命) of the Five Fuwa as (作为) young ambassadors （大使） for the Olympic Games.

Beibei and Jingjing: We will serve as the official mascots of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, carrying a message of friendship and peace—and blessings from China—to people all over the world

and express（表达） best wishes to the harmonious (和谐的) relationships between man and nature.

Yingying and Nini: Through (通过) our wishes and the decoration of headpieces (头饰), you can see the five elements (元素) of nature—the sea, forest, fire, earth and sky—all stylistic rendered in ways that represent the deep traditional influences of Chinese folk art （中国传统艺术） and ornamentation （灿烂文化）.

Huanhuan: Each of us Fuwa represents a best wish.

Beibei: I represent prosperity.

Jingjing: I am the symbolic of happiness (欢乐).

Huanhuan: I represent passion (激情).

Yingying: I am the symbolic of health (健康).

Nini: I represent good-luck (好运).

All kids: We are carrying the great kindness of Beijing, passing blessings to every corner of the world. We invite everybody from every country to join together in Beijing for the grand ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. (我们带着北京的盛情，将祝福带往世界的各个角落。我们邀请各国人民共聚北京，欢庆2008年奥运盛典。)

Huanhuan: Welcome to Beijing!

All kids: Welcome to Beijing!

Storyteller: They sing the following song and end of the dancing.
