一、if引导的条件状语从句

【教材原句】

1.If you go to the party,you’ll have a great time.你要是去参加聚会，一定会玩得很开心。（P73）

2.What will happen if they have the party today?如果他们今天举行聚会，将会发生什么呢？（P74）

【讲解】连词if的意思是“如果”，它所引导的条件状语从句表示在某种条件下某事很可能发生，在句子中充当状语，所以称之为条件状语从句。如果主句是一般将来时、祈使句或含有情态动词，条件状语从句要用一般现在时。条件状语从句可位于主句之前（此时通常用逗号与主句隔开），也可位于主句之后。如：

If you ask him,he will help you.如果你请他帮忙,他会帮你的。

We will go to Beijing if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.如果明天不下雨，我们就去北京。

If he comes back,p lease call me.如果他回来，请给我打电话。

If you want to get better grade,you should work harder.如果你想取得更好的成绩，你应该更加努力地学习。

【拓展】if引导的条件状语从句有时可用句型“祈使句+and/or+陈述句（通常用一般将来时）”来替换，此句型在意思上相当于一个带有条件状语从句的复合句。如：

Hurry up,or you’ll be late.=If you don’t hurry up,you’ll be late.快点，否则你就要迟到了。

Study hard,and you will pass the exam.=If you study hard,you will pass the exam.努力学习，你就能通过考试。

if除了可以引导条件状语从句（此时是“如果”的意思）外，也可以引导宾语从句，表达“是否”的意思。

I don’t know if he found anything.我不知道他是否发现了什么。He asked us if everybody was here.他问我们是否大家都到了。

二、unless引导的条件状语从句

【教材原句】

Unless we talk to someone,we’ll certainly feel worse.我们要是不与某人交谈的话，肯定会感觉更糟一些。（P77）

【讲解】连词unless的意思是“除非；如果不”，用来引导条件状语从句，含有否定意思，相当于if条件从句的否定形式。unless引导的条件状语也可放在主句的前面或后面。如：

Don’t ask me to exp lain unless you really don’t understand.除非你真的不懂，否则不要叫我解释。

I won’t go to the party unless I’m invited.(=I won’t go to the party if I’m not invited.)除非我被邀请，否则我不会去参加晚会的。
