“草地”用英文怎么说

不论是在公园还是道路旁边，郁郁葱葱的草地是我们经常能看到的。常见的“草地”用英文怎么表达呢？

意为“草原；草地”，泛指野外非人工培植的草地，一般由单一的草组成。如：

1）Wow!See.The vast grassland is just over there.

哇，看!那边有广阔的草原。

2)The horse ran wild in the grassland.

马在草原上到处乱跑。

2.Prairie/′preri/（grassland 的一种）

一般特指北美地区的大草原、大牧场。由灌木和各种草组成。如：

A retreat to the prairie in the National Park？ That’s awesome！

我们去国家公园里的大草原？太棒了!

3.Lawn/l:n/

一般指自家花园或公共场地的人工草坪，意思是“草地；草坪”，由单一的草构成。如：

1）Don’t step on the lawn.

不要践踏草坪。

2)Elmer,you finished mowing the lawn yet？

埃尔墨，你修剪完草坪了吗？

4.Meadow/′medu/

泛指小草地，人工或野地均可，一般面积较小。如：

Beautiful flowers scattered throughout the meadow.

草地上点缀着朵朵美丽的花儿。
