I Was Touched

In a science class of the second semester on the third grade,I received four silkworms from my science teacher.

At first,I looked at the caterpillars like black baby silkworms,and I didn’t dare to touch them.However,when I saw them in the humble box I built,not minding the humbleness and the narrow space of the “house” and living hard; when I saw them not afraid of food mulberry leaves in huge contrast of their body size,and tirelessly willing to be “foodie”; when I saw them clumsily crawling forward in spite of their slow footsteps; when I saw their diligent efforts to grow plump at an amazing speed and still not complacent wanting to grow further,I didn’t fear them anymore.I found that they were very cute,and I affectionately called them Silkworm Babies.

I carefully observed the growth of the Silkworm Babies,and found that the more they grew,the more they were strict with themselves.I was awed by their managing to emerge from the silkworm eggs.I was awed by their tirelessly swinging their heads before spinning.I was awed by their great struggle to break out the cocoons.Every stage of growth is to achieve a higher level of selftranscendence.I witness industrious,strong,dedication and many other precious qualities from Silkworm Babies.I was touched by these qualities and began to understand the preciousness of lives and the value of life.

When we stopped attending classes during COVID-19,our beloved teachers and the workers of our community were just like Silkworm Babies.They worked hard without any complaints only for our happy life.
